Strive to Excel’s academic support program encompasses a whole spectrum of activities including:

• Tutoring and mentoring
• Parent-teacher-student counseling
• SAT/ ACT and college preparation
• Since 1999, Strive to Excel students made remarkable progress in the following areas:
• SAT scores on average increased 150 points and have ranged from 720-1480 (on a scale of 1600)
• Since 1999, 97% of students have been accepted to post-secondary higher educational facilities or have joined the military, including greater than 90% acceptance rates to 2- and 4-year colleges and universities

Social Skills

Strive to Excel recognizes the importance of providing students with the following skills needed to compete in the business world:
